Ryan Dawdy

Pianist

Ryan Dawdy started learning piano at the age of 8, being taught privately for 8 years. During that time, he was introduced to movie soundtracks, where he began arranging music from films for piano solos. His intimate knowledge of the Piano allowed him to arrange music for larger ensembles, such as wind bands and orchestras. He joined the United States Air Force, moving from Florida to New Mexico, Las Vegas, two tours in Korea, and retired in England after 17 years of military service. During that time, he wrote and performed piano music for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater and two student college films.

He has been playing piano for 31 years, performing for weddings, plays, and schools. He has arranged and performed, music for Flute and Piano duets, Piano solos, Cello and Vocal duets, and Violin and Piano duets. He has taught privately for 4 years, ranging from age seven to seventy. Teaching music has been his passion since he attended High School in Martin County. He is currently attending Indian River State College for Music Performance. In addition to piano, he has been playing clarinet for 28 years, performing in wind ensembles, jazz bands, musical pit ensembles and orchestras throughout Florida.
